Narita information

Not many tourists know that Chiba prefecture is well-known for its great peanuts. This shop offers you many good quality seasonal Japanese sweets as well as their classic sweets like kawaii (cute) peanuts monaka and peanuts manju. Not far from that historical temple Narita-san, you can probably hop into this shop on your way back.

A great place for local sweets and souvenirs. I especially like that it is spacious, so you don't have to move about as though you're navigating a mine field. The prices are also good. Recommended.

We ordered a 2-scope green tea ice cream. The waitress misunderstood us (part English and part very broken Japanese). An elderly lady delivered a bowl of green tea and a green tea / vanilla ice cream. I pointed at the photo in the menu and attempted to explain. This elderly lady happily returned the 2 incorrect dishes. Then she brought out a 2-scope vanilla ice cream. Again I pointed at the menu. Once again she returned the dish. Finally she brought out the correct one with a good smile. The service was excellent.
